Our latest opening is for a full-time optometric / ophthalmic assistant in our Lake Jackson, Texas office.
Qualified candidates will have 2
years' experience as a technician in a vision care office.
Ophthalmic office experience big plus.
In addition, candidates should have a skill set that includes most of the following:
Manual Refractions, Ability to read glasses on manual lensometer, Tonometry, Visual Fields, OCT, A-Scan, Topography, Scribing, Computer Skills (experience on Electronic Medical Records a plus but will train an OA with proper patient work-up skills) We will consider training for SOME gaps in the skillset in exchange for a person who is dynamic, reliable and has strong customer service skills.
