Job Description:
This position will oversee insurance related duties, such as submitting claims, verifying coverage, benefit reviews, appealing denied claims, communicating insurance information to patients, providing necessary documentation including x-rays and narratives, and provide assistance to the front desk when needed.
Essential Functions:
Head of insurance-related duties, such as submitting insurance claims, verifying.

Complete insurance verification on appointments scheduled for the following business.
day, using insurance portals and other verification tools as instructed.
Communicating insurance matters effectively to guests.
Work directly with patients and to obtain all necessary information to verify dental and medical insurance coverage.
Enter insurance benefits for each patient into practice management software.
Understand and maintain working knowledge of insurance fee schedules and policy guidelines.
Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.

Uploading insurance estimate of benefits into patient accounts.
Calculating dental benefits and co-pays with accuracy.
Inputting insurance information into Eaglesoft.
Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
Work with the dental office staff to maximize appointment availability and keep dental schedules full.
Call patients on the wait list attempting to fill all open appointments as they occur.
Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.
Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
Occasionally there may be some travel, by car or plane, required in order for you to participate in continuing education or seminars.
Auditing of patient accounts.
Collecting patient portion balances.
Following up and resolving all patient billing inquiries.
Mailing refund checks.
Adjusting patient accounts for collections or incomplete treatment.
Printing and mailing patient collection letters.
Documenting account inquiries in patient charts Answer phones and provide support to the front desk as needed.
Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.
Serves as liaison and coordinates with front desk and other staff to help with opening and closing day procedures.
MUST maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations.

Experience and Education:
High School Diploma Dental Office:
3 years (Required) Computer Skills:
1 year (Required) Eaglesoft experience is REQUIRED.
