This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid and has the following duties and
Responsibilities:
Performs verification of student financial aid applications per Department of Education regulations and resolves comment flags, processes corrections and adjusts awards as needed to maintain compliance; Assists students with completion of FAFSA, reviews financial aid applications, assists with satisfactory academic progress monitoring, and corresponds with students regarding their applications; Awards financial aid funds using Student Information System; Counsels students on the availability of financial aid, scholarships and work study eligibility requirements, the application process and students' rights and responsibilities for all programs; Performs Return of Title IV process calculations on records assigned by Director/Coordinator and monitors and processes daily and end of term unofficial withdrawal process as students complete process with Admissions Office; Assists with compiling data for institutional, fiscal, federal, and state reports on student aid, as needed; Responsible for the record management of student aid documents, including ensuring proper filing, maintenance, and disposal of records according to federal and state law and institutional policies and procedures; Assist with FAFSA workshops, informational and outreach programs, new student orientation, group advising, and other pertinent events; Responsible for processing of Waiver and Exemption programs, such as Hazlewood and Dual Credit, etc.

Minimum
Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university; At least two (2) years' experience working in student personnel administration in a college setting; At least two (2) years' experience in a business and customer service setting; Prior financial aid work experience preferred; Excellent organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills; Evidence of strong computer skills; Ability to meet the needs and concerns of college customers; Ability to be flexible, creative, and resourceful while meeting deadlines in a results-oriented environment; Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one's value to the institution (exceptional employment or educational experience may be given special consideration).
